Goals

The primary aim for this virtual workshop is to provide a forum where ISRU supply and demand needs will be discussed. As we have interviewed members of industry, we keep hearing the same problem - nobody plans around using ISRU products because nobody is committing to producing, and nobody is committing to producing because no one is committing to a demand. This event will explore this "Chicken and Egg" issue. Our desired outcome is greater industry communication on this issue as well as an unofficial, notional community understanding of the quantities of lunar ISRU products that will be desired and available in the near-future cislunar economy.

Program

NASA Chief Economist Alexander Macdonald has agreed to be our keynote speaker. We intend to have speakers from the demand side (such as CLPS providers, HLS providers, NASA, and DOD), companies who want to sell these resources meet and discuss their business plans, needs, schedules, etc. Talks will focus on issues such as quantity, purity, schedule, location, as well as economic barriers to using ISRU for creating a vibrant cislunar economy. We intend talks to be brief (~5 minutes) with plenty of time for discussion, questions, and networking.

Get Involved
