The objective of this virtual workshop is to gather the lunar surface community to exchange ideas on the design, analysis and construction of launch and landing facilities (LLFs), as well as identify technology gaps and use cases for establishing a sustainable presence on the Moon.

 

The LSIC Lunar LLF Workshop Sessions include:

  • Vision for deploying LLFs for a sustained presence on the Moon

  • Top Level Design Expectations for LLF

  • LLF Trade Space Considerations

  • State of the Art Landing Pad Analyses - Plume Surface Interaction Analyses and Failure Modes

  • Construction Options and Supporting Infrastructure

  • Networking

 

The workshop will conclude with an overview of the day’s findings.
